Customs Brokerage

This is the clearance of goods through Customs barriers for importers and/or exporters, usually businesses and other entities.
We handle all communications between all concerned parties, to effect proper preparation of documents and/or electronic submissions, calculation of taxes, duties and facilitate communication between the importer/exporter and cargo agent. we also secure the relevant approvals and releases from other governmental authorities (T&T Bureau of Standards, Food & Drug Division, Plant Quanrantine, Ministry of Trade and Industry etc).

Services Include:

  • Ensuring Importer/Exporter information is registered in the Customs (ASYCUDA) Database, including N# application and approval
  • Application and collection of Import Licenses, Import Permits and other pre-requisite permits and licenses
  • Preparation and approval of Customs Declaration of Import & Export cargo
  • Coordinating between Importer/Exporter, Cargo Agent and Governmental Ageincies to ensure timely clearances and export target dates are met
  • Transportation of any type of cargo and special equipment, throughout Trinidad & Tobago

    • Freight Forwarding/International Logistics

    This aspect of the business involves a service whereby we are in partnership with several Freight Forwarder partners throughout the world, mainly USA, China and Panama.
    We act as an intermediary agent between our foreign affiliates, the various consignees and the Shipping Line Agent. We also handle the considerable logistics of this task for the client, relieving what would otherwise be frustrating tasks to the clients (importers/exporters).

    This Involves:

  • Documentation: Preparing the Bills of Lading/vetting and proper creation of Customs Declarations/Transshipment Cargo
  • The electronic filing of Manifests to Customs & Excise and the Bonded Warehouse where the cargo is stored
  • Warehousing of cargo prior to Import/Export
  • Organizing with the shipment agent to get the deliveries approved and stamped
  • Liasing with the various consignees i.e. informing them of the applicable charges
  • Delivering of documents to consignees
  • Clearance of cargo/door to door delivery to the importer's premises (upon request)

    We handle the preparation of all Customs Declarations as it relates to imports and exports. We also apply and lobby for special Government Licenses such as those outlined below:

  • Import License/Mimisters' Licenses from the Ministry of Trade and Industry
  • Import Permits from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Department

    • We offer full Customs Brokerage services from ordering of goods to clearance and delivery of said goods to clients
